-- Living Cultural Heritage, Innovating Language Education
The 1st Announcement
1. Aim of the Conference
In response to the evolving global landscape of Chinese language education, this joint conference unites the 11th International Conference on Teaching Chinese as a Second Language and the 5th International Conference on Chinese Language Education under the theme "Living Cultural Heritage, Innovating Language Education." This collaborative endeavor brings together the fields of international Chinese education and Chinese language education to explore how, in our contemporary era, we can effectively sustain and revitalize Chinese cultural heritage through innovations in pedagogy, curriculum design, teaching methodologies, and digital technologies. The conference will focus on critical areas including AI and pedagogical innovation, cultural identity and intercultural dialogue, modern interpretations and pedagogical applications of classical texts, cultural transmission in bilingual contexts, and future-ready teacher development. Leveraging Hong Kong's unique role as a global crossroads, the event will convene scholars and practitioners from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and around the world. Through keynote speeches, parallel forums, paper presentations, and teaching workshops, we aim to create a dynamic, multi-level platform for professional exchange, collectively advancing the future of Chinese language education worldwide.
